TECNA nylon rope retractor tool balancers have a nylon or aluminum housing, and support the tool on a polypropylene or Dyneema® wire rope. The synthetic rope is designed to extend and retract easily from the balancer housing, allowing the operator a full range of motion. Furthermore, the synthetic rope reduced drifting, catching, and strain.
Nylon cable retractors are used to suspend tools in a pre-set position to minimize operator effort during use of the tool. Retractors, typically used with lighter hand, air and power tools, are typically installed above a workstation for convenient user access, and can easily be pulled down to complete a task. After completing the work, the tool is released and the nylon cable retractor automatically returns to the original or starting position.

Polypropylene is a versatile, thermoplastic polymer known for its toughness, light weight, chemical resistance, flexibility, and heat resistance.
Dyneema® is a brand of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fiber known as the “world’s strongest fiber,” being 15 times stronger than steel but light enough to float.
Balancer models 9346LNY – 9350NY: These balancers are equipped with a stop device allowing the load to be stopped in intermediate positions of the stroke, about every 3.94 in. (100 mm). The stop device can be activated and deactivated at the operator’s choice.
