TECNA Stainless Steel Cable Retractor Balancer Selection Guide
Retractor tool balancers use a spring mechanism to keep the tool hanging slightly below the balancer when in the rest position. To use the tool, the operator pulls down to unwind a cable. When the operator’s task is complete, the tool can again be safely returned to the rest position. While in use, the operator will feel a slight pull from the retractor, as the tool is under continuous pressure from a spring.
TECNA standard retractor tool balancers feature a nylon or aluminum housing, and suspend the tool on a stainless steel wire rope. Optional accessories include:
- Accessory unit with air hose 0.32 / 0.39 in. (8 – 10 mm)
- Accessory unit with air hose 0.43 / 0.63 in. (11 – 16 mm)
NOTE: Available for certain models, please contact a customer service representative for help selecting the right product for your application.
Balancers models 9336 – 9350 are equipped with a stop device that allows the load to be stopped in intermediate positions of the stroke, about every 3.94 in. (100 mm). The stop device can be activated and deactivated at the operator’s choice.
